Last year was the Earth’s warmest since record-keeping began in 1880, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and NASA said Wednesday. 

Of course the irony is not lost in the headlines.. the same day the news breaks, D.C. is also getting prepped for what could be a blizzard of epic proportions.
