The East Coast, consumed by a dreadful drought of snow, may finally get the chance to experience winter.
That statement will make my son enthused. Simultaneously, it will make my bones ache. Nonetheless, reality happens while we imagine and this storm, if it materializes, could be mighty.
Time will tell.
The current thought is that a shot of cold comes in just in time for the East Coast storm to swing along the jet stream and wallop the entire East Coast, including bigger cities and my more humble homefront..
Other models I have been looking at are saying this one could be big–foot plus. But let’s stop before we get ahead of ourselves.
What is going AGAINST this storm?
PATTERNS. It has been a terrible pattern for anyone who likes snow.
EL NINO. The warm Pacific has caused mayhem across the United States, and so far a surge of warmth into parts of the East that normally are frozen..
The Euro model is calling for 2 feet of snow in Eastern Pennsylvania. The GFS is similar, with 1 to 2 feet of snow for Eastern Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Days to go.. lots to watch.
We have all seen storms fizzle away as the drumbeat of days beats closer.
BUT.. for some reason, I feel this one will happen.
