A review of the COMEDY CENTRAL roast of Justin Bieber gets it dead on: It’s not nearly as cool a it thinks it is, just like BIEBS himself..

I was also sort of bored by the roast.. the quips about each other (and the shocking and amazing Martha Stewart jokes) were funnier than anything said about Bieber or by him.
I think COMEDY CENTRAL wanted lots of press and attention.
They got it.. but when actually viewing the roast, it’s a big let down compared to the build up..

I wouldn't necessarily say the roast was a big let down, there was a great line up of comedians/Well-known people in the entertainment industry and overall the show seemed to flow organically as in the comedy didn't appear too calculated. I agree that Martha Stewart was a major shock and probably one of the highlights of the roast, I will never look at her the same! Overall, there was so much hype and media about this roast that it's inevitable expectations were going to run high, I think they touched on nearly everything the general public thinks/would say to biebs if they could!
ReplyDeleteMartha Stewart always had this grandmotherly style.. And then she hit with that mouth of hers at the roast.. shocked the comedy world, I think. To be honest, I think Justin Bieber comedy wise was the highlight of the night..

ReplyDeleteI thought the roast was pretty good. The guy from Saturday Night Live really killed.
ReplyDeleteHis jokes about 9/11 were risky. He pulled it off because he has the credibility since he had a tragic history. But those kinds of jokes are exactly what comedians who are good do best.
