LYIN' WILLIAMS: The levees fail

There will be a ton of headlines and bad puns in relation to the BRIAN WILLIAMS scandal.. the news anchor, one who was notable for his pop culture presence and his appeal to younger people, is being faced with a major scandal engulfing his entire career.. Did he purposely lie about a military helicopter taking fire or just mid-remember it.. And now even more, were there more tall tales from the site of devastation at Hurricane Katrina.

Lots of online snoopers are now traveling down the history of the information superhighway of things..

NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams admitted Wednesday he was not aboard a helicopter hit and forced down by RPG fire during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, a false claim that has been repeated by the network for years.

I always liked Brian Williams. He was this generation’s ‘cool guy’ anchor.

But now social media has hit him hard.. he ‘misremembered’ events from years ago.. actually, he has been telling a lie for years about something that never occurred. And he was called out on it.

I am very disappointing.. as many others are.

There is one ominous thing to consider with this: Brian William’s entire TWITTER history has been wiped clean tonight.. his profile is there but there’s no tweets left. Gone..

I suppose we may learn why in coming hours..#BrianWililamsMemories has produced some amazingly funny Tweets tonight..

Is this his downfall, or will he recover?
It’s up to the Twitterverse now I suppose.

This is not good..

Not only the pilot story false.. but now questions are mounting concerning about Brian Williams’ memories of Katrina..

I wrote previously of how Brian Williams had the best voice for news. But apparently he also had the ego for it too..

Tall tales from the  various places he has been are now becoming subject to quite a bit of investigation. Even Brokaw wants him gone.

Meanwhile Brian Williams’ twitter account is barren…

The story is developing..
And the nose is growing.
