Both North and South California are being hit by multiple earthquakes..

The reliable DutchSinse website has been following the measurable seismic events. Yesterday, dormant volcanoes near Las Vegas were hit by quakes.. Today it's the drought-ridden sunshine state seeing action.
Seismic activity is now apparent near Mount Lassen volcano. It would also seem that other earth movements are awfully close to more dormant volcanoes..
A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Wednesday morning 30 miles from Isla Vista, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 12:47 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 8.7 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 32 miles from Goleta, Calif., 33 miles from Santa Barbara, Calif. and 37 miles from Carpinteria.
With anything in life, timing is key. Marketers may not have to do much work to get the word out for SAN ANDREAS (though they have already inspired gloom and doom with the remake of CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' mixed with scenes of destruction and tsunamis) .. the real earthquakes me do it for them. The movie is released just as summer begins, and while earthquakes of seemingly minor magnitude rumble through the Golden State
.. But the real SAN ANDREAS? That may just be ready to rock and roll as much as its box office brethren..

There is an article running wild online today about an 'earthquake expert' predicting that the big one is going to hit due to a planetary alignment.. Michael Janitch called a bit of logic on that in a Facebook post you may want to read here..
