MAYHEM: Tunisia's National Bardo Museum attacked; Hostages taken-- developing crisis

Tunisia's interior ministry is telling various news agencies that a shooter attack has led to the murder of 8 people in the nation's Bardo Museum..

Original reporting this morning from REUTERS indicated that 8 tourists were killed in the situation.. The US Embassy did not have any further details besides that news agencies' dispatched information. The attacked has killed, according to reports, 1 Tunisian and 7 others from undisclosed nationalities..

Lawmakers in the Parliament were discussing anti-terrorism laws while the shooting was occurring.

The situation is still developing. There are reports that two gunmen are the perpetrators and that hostages have been taken inside the museum..

The museum is dubbed the 'jewel of Tunisian heritage' and has a collection of mosaics, including one of the poet Virgil, as well as marble sculptures, furniture, jewels and other artifacts...  And it now is the home of the latest in the Earth's many violent terror attacks and the site of an ongoing hostage crisis that the world is watching..
