POTUS meets the people

Obama joined Twitter. And a new generation of people who haven't learned decorum have responded..

As the POST reported:

Case in point? After Barack Obama belatedly joined Twitter on Monday — in hisofficial, presidential capacity — dozens of Twitter denizens began tweeting him sex jokes, threats and other unprintable inanities. (We counted nearly 500 tweets dropping f-bombs at POTUS in the past day.)

This could be the 21st century equivalent of Richard Nixon secretly going to the Lincoln Memorial at midnight to address anti war protesters. But quite frankly, those anti Vietnam activists had a reason to express anger.. the current cast of Tweeters on Twitter perhaps don't. .
