Winter of the Yeti?

2014 was the year of the clown--countless people dressed in freaky attire and randomly walked quaint autumn streets across the globe. In France, the clowns were a bit more rowdy, often leading to fights and arrests throughout that country. The United States' brand featured more freakish one, staring vacantly at cameras and being followed by thousands of people through Tweets broadcasting their movements, such as Wasco the clown from California..

Something creative seems to be brewing again. This time, someone dressed as a Yeti is patrolling empty streets during yesterday's supposed blizzard of 2015..

The handle is @BostonYeti2015. It enjoying walking on snowy streets.. and now thanks to a MASHABLE story written by Jenni Ryall, a new pop culture phenomenon may have been born.. Facebook and Tumblr love stories like this..

The BOSTON YETI has been busy on Twitter, messaging his or her image to countless news publications.. Also, retweets have been a-plenty.

The attention will be given, no doubt.
The real question is this: Will the Yeti catch on, and show up in other snowstorms around the nation?
Could this be a prelude to a Yeti invasion of the planet earth? Thankfully Twitter will give a heads on up location..

While I applaud the attempt to think outside the box, I actually challenge the clown phenom to return.. I'd be much more frightened of a clown at midnight under a snowy street light than a bad Yeti costume walking down a sidewalk..

Or how about this: A yeti dressed as a clown.
With balloons in hand.
Now that would be scary.
